Mexico City Mission Trip

This summer (June 19-26) our high school group will be traveling down to Mexico City to serve alongside the missionaries that Sunset supports. This is a great opportunity for your student to experience God's Kingdom outside of the USA! 


This week will allow our students to meet our wonderful mission team in Mexico City and Apaxco. They will get to serve the church in one of the largest cities in the world and in the rural community of Apaxco just 50 miles away.


We will do as much fundraising as we can to keep the cost per student low, but as you can imagine, this is our most expensive trip so be prepared to fundraise!


We only have room for 40 people on this trip (students and adults) so get signed up ASAP!

Mexico Missionaries

Gerardo and Carola Garcia have been serving the Church in Mexico for about 25 years. Throughout their time as missionaries in Mexico City they have shared the love of Christ with countless individuals through the local church and the various outreach projects in the city. They have helped train many of Sunset's AIM (Adventure in Missions) students and helped these students become better missionaries and servants for the Lord. It will be a blessing for our students to work alongside this wonderful couple and get to know them!



The Molina family serves the community of Apaxco. Although Apaxco is just 50 miles outside of Mexico City, it is a completely different world. Mexico City is one of the largest cities in the world and Apaxco is a rural community with a much smaller population. However, the work that the Molinas and their team are doing in Apaxco is not small! They have taken the Church in Apaxco and done many wonderful things within that community. Their service to the people there have drawn many people to Christ and they continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people of Apaxco!

Sunset Youth Group Sweatshirt Fundraiser

Order an SYG sweatshirt before January 28th to help support our mission trip. The cost per sweatshirt is $40 and all money raised goes towards helping our students get to Mexico City!
